Glimmer; labradorite and bead wire tree sculpture on an agate slice
Labradorite is best known for it's gorgeous flashes of colours in blue, greens and gold. Photographing that is another matter! Using the strand at hand, I created a complementary seed bead mix which has given us an almost antiquey looking tree which now and again gives you a glimmer of colour if you happen to sneak up on it or see it when the light hits it just right. Twysted together with supa champagne and gunmetal coloured copper wire and mounted to a blue agate slice.
Sits approximately 11.5cms / 4.5 inches in height (including base)
Size: Height 11.5cms x Width 12.5cms / 4.5 x 5 inches (including base)
Materials: Labradorite gemstone chips, glass seed beads, tarnish resistant gunmetal and supa champagne coloured copper wire, agate slice, adhesive.
Supa wire colours are copper wire which has been silver plated then coloured.
Care instructions: For ornamental use only. Copper wire is soft and can be bent easily - branches can be adjusted but bending back and forth repeatedly can cause the wire to weaken and it may snap.
Gemstone colours can fade if kept in direct sunlight so please bear this in mind when finding a spot to display it.
