Hopeful; bead and wire tree sculpture

A very pretty tree reminiscent of spring with its green teal leaves and beautiful Ethiopian opal beads dotted through it. The opals have some beautiful glimmers of colour in them which of course doesn't shine though when I'm photographing them for here, but did show up in a candid daylight photo before it was mounted to the agate slice base.

Made with green glass seed beads and 36 Ethiopian opal rondelle beads, twysted together with gilt finished copper wire and mounted to a green agate slice.

Sits at 9.5 cms / 3.75 inches in height (including base)

  • Size: Height 9.5cms x Width (base) 12cms / 3.75 x 4.75 inches

Materials: Glass seed beads, 35 Ethiopian opal smooth rondelle beads, gilt (silver plated and coloured) tarnish resistant copper wire, agate slice

Care instructions: For ornamental use only. Copper wire is soft and can be bent easily - branches can be adjusted but bending back and forth repeatedly can cause the wire to weaken and it may snap.

As with any gemstone, opals should be displayed out of direct sunlight.
