In Celtic mythology, Rowan is known as the tree of life. Instantly recognisable for the red berries, the rowan tree is one that's mentioned a lot in folklore and is believed to have protective properties and will keep evil spirits at bay. If growing near your home, it's said to offer protection to that too. Since this is my interpretation of a Rowan and not a living tree, I can't make such claims, but it will look good!
Made with a mix of green seed beads for the leaves and opaque red seed beads for the berries, twysted together with gunmetal coloured copper wire over a thicker copper wire core.
Sits approximately 24 cms / 9.5 inches in height
Size: Height x Width 24cms x 23cms / 9.5 inches x 9 inches
Materials: Glass seed beads, gunmetal coloured tarnish resistant coloured copper wire, tarnish resistant copper wire core
Care instructions: Your tree has some degree of flexibility so you may want to adjust the position of some of the leaves. This is fine to do as long as you don't overly stress the wire, otherwise it will weaken and may snap. The wire I use has been enamel coated to prevent tarnishing. Dust can be removed with a paintbrush or similar.
Lastly, please be aware due to the nature of the material, although I make every attempt to minimise this, the roots may have some sharp edges. Caution is advised if placing on surfaces that are easily scratched. For ornamental use only.
