Handmade bead and wire tree sculptures
From Twysted Roots, something extraordinary grew...
Welcome! I'm Clair, wire tree artist, and owner / creator of Twysted Roots®. Making bead and wire tree sculptures started as a hobby for me way back in 2014 and after a lot of practice, Twysted Roots was launched in April 2017. Many tree creations have been made since then, some of which can be seen in the gallery, on Deviant Art, and on Pinterest.
I've had a lifelong fascination with trees both life sized and bonsai, but between house moves and lack of space, living plants didn't tend to fare well, or I had to leave them behind. Making bead and wire bonsai trees has filled that void and combined my love of art, need for creativity and being inspired by nature. Each tree made by hand and from the heart; some even turn out to be shaped like one!
Each wire tree sculpture is unique and cannot be exactly replicated so you are guaranteed to have a one of a kind piece of art. Trees can be a single bead or wire colour, or a complimentary or contrasting mix. They make a lovely gift either as a stand alone decorative item, part of a collection, or even as a cake topper for a celebratory cake.
I do take on commissioned work on occasion. If you are interested in commissioning a tree in a particular colour scheme or design, feel free to get in touch via the contact page, email, or any of the social media platforms.
Tarnish resistant copper wire, which comes in a range of colours.
I mainly use glass seed beads, but I occasionally incorporate other types into a design, such as Murano glass, lampwork, Swarovski® and gemstone.
Twysted Roots® trees are designed to be freestanding, however a base can be used for extra stability or for decorative purposes.
All the trees created, featured and sold by Twysted Roots® are one-of-a-kind original pieces, derived from my own imagination, sketch or photograph. All design rights, copyrights, intellectual property (IP) rights and reproduction rights are retained by Twysted Roots® and may not be reproduced by any process or medium without the express written permission of the artist.
