Commissions (now closed) and general information
I am no longer taking on new commissioned work but will leave the door open to enquiries if you have a specific idea in mind, and it will be given consideration. I have loved working with clients and making their vision become a reality but it can be a resource heavy undertaking (time and energy) and moving forward, I would like to dedicate that time and energy to existing projects that are still to be brought to life. Existing bookings are unaffected and will continue as usual.
If you have booked a commission, it can take anything from a few hours to a few weeks for me to finish a wire tree sculpture depending on size and requirement, so please bear this in mind if you would like a custom tree by a certain date.
I will always aim to complete and post within a time frame specified at the point of agreeing on the custom order. I can quote a price once the style, size and materials have been decided on; I can't quote in advance because the style and size dictates how long it will take me to complete.
Please be aware that all prices quoted are in GBP / Pound Sterling / £. Conversion rates (if using a different currency) can be found by searching for "currency converter" on your search engine of choice.
Most of Twysted Roots® trees are freestanding, however I have used various materials previously such as gemstone, slate, stone and mirror as a decorative feature, or for extra stability. I have a range of pieces in stock generally so please do ask if this is something you'd like added.
For cake toppers, an acrylic base will be included so the wire isn't in direct contact with the cake; I can attach the tree to this or leave it separate as required.
Once it is completed, photographs and a size description will be sent to you (via email or specified social media account) to you for final approval before requesting payment. If you are happy with your finished tree I will then add it to the shop page as a custom order and send you the link to purchase, or if preferred, by direct bank transfer. If purchase has not been made within 7 days, I'll follow up with a final email or message to check but if no answer is received within 24 hours the tree will be relisted for general sale.
Once payment has been received, the item will be posted within one to two working days; you will receive an email confirmation of this including the tracking number.
If you change your mind about your custom order, please give written confirmation of this via the contact page. I won't take it personally - honest!
A gift message can be included if the tree is to be gifted. There is no charge for this.

Taking care of your wire and bead tree
Your tree has some degree of flexibility so you may want to adjust the position of some of the leaves upon arrival. This is fine to do as long as you don't overly stress the wire (bending it back and forth repeatedly in a localised area), otherwise it will weaken and may snap.
The copper wire used has an enamel coated to prevent tarnishing. Dust can be removed with a soft paintbrush or similar.
For gemstone trees, please avoid displaying in direct sunlight as this may cause the colour of the gemstone to fade over time.
Lastly, please be aware due to the nature of the material, although I make every attempt to minimise this, the roots may have some sharp edges. Caution is advised if placing on surfaces that are easily scratched. For ornamental use only.
All the items on this website have been photographed and displayed as accurately as possible. Colour may vary slightly due to different screen/monitor settings.
Payment
Payment can be made securely via PayPal, credit card via Stripe or Klarna. For custom orders, payment is required within 7 days of approval of completed item. Direct Bank Transfer is also an option if this is preferred - details for this will be given if requested.

Postage and packaging
Items will be securely packaged. Your order will be sent to the address you have specified at checkout so please ensure this is accurate and up to date.
Items that are ready for delivery will be posted within 1-2 working days.
Items within the UK will be posted via Royal Mail First or Second class signed for or Special Delivery and should arrive within 1-3 business days.
Items posted outside the UK will be posted via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed or by courier and are estimated to arrive within 7-10 business days. Please be aware this is not 100% guaranteed so please do bear this in mind if your order is time sensitive. Twysted Roots® is not responsible for any delays due to customs or delays during transit.
At certain times of the year there may be delays in estimated arrival times such as Bank Holidays or Christmas; I have no influence over this so please allow extra time if ordering in December.
Trees will be double boxed; packing peanuts (with the addition of shrink wrap for trees with bases) are used to keep the tree in place and a filling of packing peanuts or reused protective packaging wil be used in between the inner and outer box for protection. The packing chips are eco friendly (100% starch) and biodegradable/compostable. The paper tape used to seal up the boxes can be left on as it is also recyclable.
Once your bead and wire tree has been posted, a tracking number will be provided via email or direct / private message depending on your method of contact.
Please be aware there may be delays in delivery times due to strikes, pandemics, weather or any other thing that's flung into the mix, especially with international services. Apologies for the inconvenience; this is out of my hands (but I will chase things up when needed). Stay safe ❤
Prices are inclusive of packaging and insurance costs. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been posted. All prices quoted are in GBP / Pound Sterling / £.

Please be aware you may be subject to, and responsible for any import charges once it reaches your country. Twysted Roots® is not responsible for paying these additional charges, or for any delays due to customs. It is recommended you contact your local Customs office if you require any additional information.
Conditions of return
Please contact me should you wish to resolve any issues with your order; I will always do everything I can to resolve this with you promptly.
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving for any reason. This does not apply to commissioned pieces but obviously if there are any issues, please contact me as my priority is to have a happy customer at the end of the transaction.
Please contact Twysted Roots® via the contact form within 14 days of receipt to inform of your wish to return. You then have a further 14 days in which to return your order. Buyer is responsible for all return postage costs.
Item must be returned in its original condition, unused and with its original packaging / securely packed within 28 days of receipt. A full refund will be given within 14 days of the returned item being received. It is highly recommended you use a tracked service for this, or at the very least, obtain proof of postage.
In the unlikely event that a wrong item is received, please return within 7 days of receipt and the correct item will be sent. In this instance return costs will also be covered.
Unclaimed packages: Items that are not delivered due to an invalid postal address, refusal, or non collection will be refunded the cost of the goods only, minus any admin costs incurred once they are returned to and received by Twysted Roots®. You will receive an email to notify you when this happens.
Lost packages: Ok so far this hasn't happened although it's come pretty close after the big cyber incident of 2023. Rather than copy the whole blurb I'll link in the Royal Mail compensation info page which contains links to UK and international info pages on lost, damaged or delayed packages www.postoffice.co.uk/help-support/posting/lost-stolen-damaged-faqs which goes into how much time has to go by before they'll entertain a lost claim.
Once the specified time for the service has passed, I've double checked with the carrier and if there's no sign of your parcel, a full refund will be given. If the parcel turns up after this, payment will be requested again as the order has been fulfilled or returned if it is no longer required. Buyer is responsible for all return postage costs.

Twysted Roots® reserves the right to use the photographs of all / any of the trees made to add to their portfolio, and to use for display purposes online to showcase previous works. For custom orders, photos will not be displayed publicly until they have been received by the intended recipient, or unless you, the client has said it is ok to do so before it has been received.
Twysted Roots® reserve the right to change the prices of product listings and / or postage at any time without notice. Custom orders still to be fulfilled will always stay at the price agreed upon ordering.
