Trying out the new wire
This week I’ve been working on custom orders as well as new trees to add to the shop. My new wire arrived so of course I had to try it out and it has to be said, I’m liking the bright colours! I thought I’d try out the pink wire as an experiment, since the pink trees seem to be popular and I feel it works well as a contrast or a blend with some of the other warm colours I have.
I've just been happily getting back into the swing of things and then I started to feel like I was coming down with something. I had a momentary panic thinking it was a cold which I hate, or flu which would be even worse but it turns out it’s sinusitis. A throbbing face I can put up with – flu I can’t so yay for sinusitis (yes this is me putting a positive spin on it). It arrived with a side order of dizziness so instead of my usual hour walk with the dogs first thing this morning, I reeled out the front door and decided a shorter 20 minute walk was probably a better idea since I was walking like I was partially inebriated (I wasn’t – I’ve had two glasses of wine since Christmas!) Not the best look before 10am really...
The plan for this month despite the face ache, is to continue making more trees with hearts, only I’m using Swarovski ones this time instead of the lampwork ones I was using previously. I love them both but I’ve more of the Swarovski ones and in a lot of different colours. They’re more subtle and not so much of a focal point as in it’s not the first thing you notice; more like a sparkly surprise when you take a closer look.
That’s about it for this week and if you want to see what I’m up to in between blogs you can find me on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook
Big love
