That'll teach me for trying to be organised with the last post!
Like many other businesses out there, there's been a bit of a panic on to reassure buyers and get everything in place for dealing with the new tariffs but I'm delighted to be able to give some good news on this, at least for tree sculptures.
After joining another very informative webinar on Monday 1st September hosted by Global Trade Department's Andrea Collins and Royal Mail, it's with a huge sigh of relief it has been confirmed that art, including sculpture is currently exempt from customs duties so as far as you lovely customers are concerned, absolutely nothing has changed. I'll link in the youtube video here so you can check it out if you wish (skip to around 11 minutes in for the chat on art).
There will be charges on items that are not tree sculptures so I'll be removing beads from sale on the website and will advertise them elsewhere and invoice as and when needed as Wix doesn't currently have a way to exempt different collections from sale in different locations.
And that's it! After all the hair tearing and worry, it turns out I could've just sat and done nothing but that's par for the course in any given day in the life of me. At least I figured out how to do some stuff I've never done before so it wasn't time wasted if things change again in the future.
Now off to mount the mahoosive tree I've spent the past few months working on.

Have a great week all! Big love, Clair 💚
